Convert Data From Wide To Long Format in Excel

So, if you have data that is stored in a wide format in excel. But, you want to reshape it to a long format. Then, here is the solution for you.

Before: Wide format

Select the table and click From Table/Range (highlighted)

• They may ask you if the first row is headers, hit YES

Then, Power Query will appear and show the table that you have selected

Select all the date columns, because these are the columns that I want to make it as long format

Hit Unpivot Columns at the transformation tab

Finally, rename the columns

Done!
